Hurdle Heroes Headline Men’s 110m Showdown at the 2026 Prefontaine Classic

EUGENE, Ore. – The Men’s 110m Hurdles at the 2026 Prefontaine Classic will feature the reigning World Champion and reigning Olympic Champion in the discipline. Add in a former national champion with multiple global medals, and the straightaway at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon will heat up with the best hurdlers in the world.

Grant Holloway (Chesapeake, Virginia) is a two-time Olympic medalist – earning gold in Paris and silver in Tokyo – and a six-time World Champion. Holloway’s three consecutive outdoor World Championships in the Men’s 110m hurdles came in Doha, Eugene, and Budapest. In the indoor 60m hurdles discipline, Grant has won World Championships in Belgrade, Glasgow, and Nanjing. His career-best time of 12.81, set in Eugene in 2021 during the semifinals of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field, still stands as the Hayward Field record. He also holds the world record in the indoor 60m hurdles with a time of 7.27, achieved at the 2024 U.S. Championships in Albuquerque. Over the course of his Diamond League career, he has recorded nine victories, including the 2022 Diamond League Final. At the University of Florida, Grant was an eight-time NCAA champion for the Gators. Grant won the 2024 Prefontaine Classic with a time of 13.03, which was a world lead at the time.

Track & Field’s Golden Couple Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall to Compete at the 2026 Prefontaine Classic

EUGENE, Ore. – The Woodhalls will celebrate the 4th of July in Eugene! After both winning national championships at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon last summer, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall will return to headline fields in their respective events at the 2026 Prefontaine Classic.

Tara Davis-Woodhall (Frisco, Texas) is the reigning Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion in the Women’s Long Jump. She’ll headline a field at the 2026 Prefontaine Classic, jumping into a pit where she has enjoyed great success. Davis-Woodhall is the defending Prefontaine Classic champion and has won three consecutive outdoor U.S. national titles, all at Hayward Field. At the 2025 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, she recorded her best-ever mark at the venue with a jump of 7.12m (23’ 4.5”).

Tara also captured the 2021 NCAA title at Hayward Field while competing for the University of Texas, winning with a jump of 6.70m (21’ 11.75”). Her career-best mark is 7.18m (23’ 6.5”), set at the 2024 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships. She followed that performance by winning the world indoor title later that year in Glasgow.
